METSATÖLL
Metsatöll started in February 1999 as a three piece (Markus, Faktor, Andrus) playing epic metal with a little influences from the estonian folklore. The joining of Lauri "Varulven" in 2000 has broadened the folk influences since the new member was capable of playing various traditional estonian instruments. He had formerly joined the band on stage in a few occasions.
The name "Metsatöll" is an ancient Estonian euphemism for wolf.
